Downtown Dallas Overview

Bound by the downtown freeway loop, Downtown Dallas is a headquarters for notable corporations such as AT&T and KPMG; however, these companies are only two of the thousands that call Downtown Dallas “home.” Although Uptown has formed its own identity, it, along with the Central Business District (CBD), comprise Downtown Dallas. The CBD contains more than 30 million ft2 of multi-tenant space. Of that multi-tenant space, 20 million ft2 is considered class A.

Downtown is not exclusively commercial real estate, though. In fact, Chicago developer Amli Residential has just announced, via Dallas News, the construction of a new, 45-story residential high-rise on Field St. The property will be the largest new building to be built in Downtown since the Chase building opened in 1987. Dallas News also reported the construction of the Hall Arts Residences and Hall Arts Hotel.
