Grand Prairie Overview


Grand Prairie's proximity to several freeways makes the daily commute convenient and simple. Although I-30 can be challenging at rush hour, I-20 and George Bush Turnpike typically don't experience the same level of traffic. The City of Grand Prairie does not have its own public transportation system but does feature a Park & Ride on I-30 east of Belt Line. The West Irving Light Rail Station also provides service for Grand Prairie close to Belt Line and Rock Island.

The city also features many convenient amenities within its borders to attract talent to local businesses. Downtown Grand Prairie features an appealing mix of Main Street USA with a robust retail and entertainment presence. Employees enjoy many shopping, dining, and recreational options throughout Downtown as well as the Grand Prairie Farmers Market and a revitalized Uptown Theatre. Joe Pool Lake is another popular local destination for some fun and green space that can be effective in drawing talent to the area.
