The downtown submarket is currently navigating an uneven comeback, pivoting from traditional casino-centric tourism to a "work-live" urban center. Current development is heavily focused on the "Brewery District" and the Truckee River corridor, where public-private partnerships are funding infrastructure improvements like the Locomotion Plaza and the Truckee River Vision Plan.
