We specialize in Industrial sales and leasing, tenant representation, land sales, office and Multifamily properties here in eastern North Carolina. Our territory is from just east of Raleigh to the entire North Carolina coast. We have been in the real estate business since 1965 when the Efird Company began building residential homes in New Bern, NC. Our company joined SVN in May of 2021 and we are now part of a Global Commercial Real Estate firm with over 200 offices, and 1600 advisors across the United States and eight other countries.

From 1980 - 2013 - started as an order puller loading trucks up to VP Operations / Warehouse Manager

Owned and operated fleet of 20 - 18 wheeler trucks and 5 short trucks
Responsibilities included:
Management of 150,000 square foot facility - dry goods and 24,000 sq ft cold storage - 30 ft ceiling height
Met with vendors for all maintenance requirements
Hired and trained warehouse employees
Worked closely with drivers and sales staff
Provided customer service - Visited independent accounts and chain accounts on regular basis to make sure our service level was outstanding

Kinston Ice Company was purchased on January 7, 1983, and the name was changed to Carolina Ice Company
Regional Ice Supplier that has the capacity to produce 220 tons of ice per day
Service area from Durham to the coast
Carolina Ice is made from purified water in a fully automated manufacturing system which minimizes the risk of contamination
The water is filtered through a multi-step state of the art reverse osmosis treatment system

2013 established an LLC for Real Estate Investments
Purchased SFRs for complete rehab and flip
Owner of retail properties in Eastern NC including convenience stores, retail/restaurants, strip malls, office buildings
Part owner of 150 acre farm in Hyde County that produced corn, soybeans, and cotton
