James Hopkins

Jim founded REC in Illinois over forty years ago, and co-founded REC in Colorado, serving as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Broker for both companies. As an expert in commercial real estate development with a lifetime sales volume in excess of one billion dollars, Jim consults with clients in the areas of asset repositioning, sales and leasing. Previously, Jim held positions at a global insurance company where he serviced the company’s billion dollar real estate portfolio and a railroad where he managed sales, leasing and the appraisal of railroad-owned land and buildings as well as the acquisition of right-of-way as required for railroad use.
