Alex Nemz has been in the commercial real estate industry for over seven years in both the principal and brokerage side of the business.

Before joining Premises Commercial Real Estate, Alex was a Senior Private Equity Advisory Analyst at CBRE, where he worked with a Senior Broker leading a private equity practice focusing on advising sponsors and their portfolio companies on how to implement measurable real estate strategies to improve operating performance, cash flow, and EBITDA. In that role, Alex supported analytics, real estate feasibility assessments, strategy development, transaction management, financial analysis, and document review. He prepared models for a range of deliverables, including market plans, scenario options, process improvements, management practices, and business unit communication.

Alex began his career in commercial real estate as a Financial Analyst at Waterton, a real estate investment and property management company based in Chicago. In that role, Alex created operating and capital improvement budgets with cash flow projections/performance for 40 multifamily communities across the U.S. He worked with the acquisitions group in the underwriting of potential transactions by performing financial due diligence and creating operating budgets to ensure they met institutional investor requirements.

Alex received his Bachelor of Business in Finance from DePaul University. He enjoys spending time with his wife and dog in his free time and can be found playing tennis, golfing, hiking, and snowboarding.
