Nelson Spitz has been an active commercial real estate practitioner for over 35 years and has successfully negotiated and closed over 2,000 leasing and sales transactions. He has directed leasing and asset management teams for several well-known commercial real estate companies with large portfolios of assets. He has also advised a variety of major corporations, institutions and international clients as well as hundreds of entrepreneurial business owners involving hundreds of various commercial projects throughout Texas.
His extensive market knowledge and deal making skills provide his clients with the expertise and guidance needed to structure and negotiate transactions that maximize value, minimize costs and avoid liabilities. He is exceptionally tenacious, and solution minded and has a talent for holding transactions together and negotiating win/win agreements that meet his client’s goals and objectives.
Mr. Spitz assists clients with their commercial leasing requirements and helps develop innovative strategies on site selection, renewals, relocations, expansions and subleases.
He is a native Houstonian and is deeply rooted in the community with extensive contacts throughout the real estate industry. He has distinguished himself as an industry leader and is well known for his high-quality service, integrity, and track record of success.
Mr. Spitz has been active in many civic organizations throughout his career. He currently serves as a regional council member of the United States Green Building Council. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he was previously president of the College of Business Council.
